Marcienas Muiza is located on the shore of Lake Dzirnavu in a forested region of Latvia. The original Marcienas estate (Martzen) was granted to Count Fermor by Empress Elizabeth of Russia in 1753 and later owned by the v. Maydell family. The original manor, built in a neo-Gothic style, was destroyed in 1918 and not rebuilt. Ruins and the historical layout of the estate remain visible.
In 2006, a new manor-style building was constructed approximately three kilometers from the original site. It operates as a three-star spa hotel with up to 84 guests. The complex includes several guest buildings, an apartment house, a sauna, a garage, staff accommodation, and laundry/storage facilities. A glass pavilion in the park and a lake island house with stone grill are also part of the property. Recreational features include catamarans, rowboats, a fountain, and a croquet field.
The buildings are heated by modern LPG systems, with partial underfloor heating. Water is supplied by a well on the property. The estate covers 21.64 hectares, including 11.7 hectares of forest and a 2-hectare lake, preserving the layout of the historic estate while providing modern hotel facilities.
