Marcienas Muiza is located on the shore of Lake Dzirnavu in a forested region of Latvia. Bilskenhof was formerly called Hoevelshof and was owned by Theodor Bielski, after whom it later took its name. During the Swedish period in Livonia, the estate initially came into the possession of State Councillor Baner. In the 18th century, the Baltic families von Grünblatt, von Tiesenhusen, and von Lilienfeld were known as its owners.
