The estate complex dates back to the first half of the 19th century and was built in the classical style for the Pomeranian noble family von Münchow. The family coat of arms can still be seen today in the tympanum of the central risalit.
The two-story manor is a plastered brick building on a rectangular plan, featuring a high basement and an expanded mansard roof. Its classical appearance has been largely preserved to this day.
A straight staircase leads to the spacious upper-floor hall, which provides access to representative rooms and the once richly decorated ballroom, which lost its ceremonial character during post-war uses. In addition, the original room layout with architectural details from the time of construction has been largely preserved, including historic floors, stuccoed ceilings, floor tiles, solid doors, as well as fireplaces and tiled stoves.
The landscaped park, dominated by beeches, hornbeams, ashes, lindens, and elms, still covers nearly 5 hectares.
A local municipal development plan designates the property, including the castle and park, as an area for recreational, leisure, and service uses, allowing for tourism, medical, or agricultural activities.
The building requires a full renovation. Investors subject to taxes in Poland can benefit from extensive depreciation opportunities (Pałacyk Plus program).
Gockowo is located in a very rural area within the Pomeranian Lake District, without large urban centers, approximately 100 km from the Baltic Sea coast.
