The village of Bolkowice
Hundreds of manor houses are still preserved in what is now the West Pomeranian Voivodeship. The area is very rural and flat. Many old farms and manor houses characterize the landscape. West Pomerania is also a popular vacation region with quick access to the Baltic Sea and Germany.

Bolkowice - until 1945 Wilhelmsfelde - is a small former estate village, about 45 km from Szczecin (Stettin) and about 17 km from Gryfino. It was founded in 1788 by Margrave Friedrich Wilhelm von Schwedt. The border crossing to Germany (Schwedt/Oder) can be reached in a few minutes by car (about 20 km).
