Manor House at the Mecklenburg Lake District | Popular Lakeside Hotel | Confidential Offer.
The manor house, like many others, likely dates back to around 1880 in its current form. It presents itself as a simple, single-storey brick building on a fieldstone foundation with an expanded Mansard roof. A 3-axis central projection divides the courtyard side, while the impressive Mansard roof with 8 dormer windows dominates the park side.
The house underwent complete renovation starting in 2006, with much of the original condition being restored. A significant portion of the timber framing was replaced. Special attention was paid to ecological aspects, with predominantly clay plaster used and seagrass employed for insulation. Instead of underfloor heating, a more efficient wall heating system was chosen.
The 7 double rooms and 4 holiday apartments are furnished in a simple, timeless style. A professional kitchen and a large dining room are available. Heating is provided by a 60 kW wood gasifier. Water and wastewater are connected to the public supply.
Behind the house stretches a natural park with several older solitary trees, including two approximately 150-year-old Weymouth pines. A small river borders the property, and the lake's bathing area is only a few hundred meters away.
The house is in operation and is particularly popular with families and groups due to its amenities.
