Castle Complex from the Mid-14th Century
Situated on a plot of 11.62 hectares, within the outer defensive walls, the castle is surrounded by the first inner moat. Following this are fortifications in the form of an earthen defensive rampart with five bastions and casemates, and a second, outer water moat, with a stone bridge connecting the external and estate areas to the castle.
Between the outer castle moat and the outer stone defensive wall, which encloses the entire complex, lies the estate, park, and meadows.
Area:
- The area occupied by the castle with fortifications, moat, park, and meadows covers 9.27 hectares.
- The estate covers 2.35 hectares.
The moat is supplied by underground springs and a stream flowing from the mountains, with the flowing water being directed through a weir to the Oława River.
