Villa Fähndrich is a listed villa in Luckenwalde, Brandenburg, on the adress "Elsthal 1". The two-story villa, which was attached to an older farm building in the northern direction, is a plastered brick building with a gable roof on nine axes. On the southern side there is a two-storey wooden veranda.
The representative house was built in the middle of the 19th century by the Luckenwalde cloth manufacturer Carl Heinrich Wilhelm Fähndrich, whose family had already been resident in the town since the end of the 17th century. Along with Heinrich Conrad von Carl, Fähndrich was considered one of the most important and largest textile manufacturers in the region in the 19th century, whose products were exported worldwide.
In GDR times the building housed apartments, later the villa stood empty for many years. The interior retains a beautiful ornate wooden staircase, scattered stucco ceilings, historic doors and parquet floors.
In 2011, the property was sold to a private person from Berlin. As part of a participatory project and with the support of an association, the construction of several residential units is planned. In the meantime, the first works have started (2020).
