This property comprises a former fortress building from the mid-18th century that once formed part of the eastern fortifications of the Koźle stronghold. Built around 1750 using exposed brick masonry, the structure is located on the Oder River island of Ostrówek, just steps from the historic center of Kędzierzyn-Koźle.

Known as "Redita na Ostrówku," the building is based on a semicircular floor plan with a central half-round projection. Originally constructed for military purposes, the ground level features thick brick vaults and a row of horizontal firing slits. In the 19th century, the structure was extensively remodeled and converted for residential use, with a further expansion added in 1875.

The property covers approximately 2,500 m² and includes:

the main building with roughly 800 m² of interior space (three full floors plus an undeveloped attic, totaling 32 rooms). The building is suitable for conversion into multiple self-contained residential units (including maisonettes), a private residence, or a hospitality or gastronomy project;

two outbuildings, including a former garage and a small freestanding structure with a barbecue area.

A renovation plan approved by both the building and heritage authorities is already in place. The current concept includes the creation of 12 studio micro-apartments and three two-room units. Initial construction work has already been completed. Other types of conversion are also possible.

Location and Potential Uses

Currently, part of the main building is used for residential purposes:

  • First floor: approx. 130 m², three rooms, kitchen, two bathrooms (expandable with additional rooms)
  • Second floor: approx. 130 m², four rooms, kitchen, bathroom (also expandable)
