Rumanová Castle is located in western Slovakia, 160 km from Vienna (Austria), 80 km from Bratislava, 15 km from Nitra, and just 8 km from the motorway.
After its acquisition, the building underwent a comprehensive renovation. The roof, gutters, all chimneys, and the entire structural framework, from the basement to the upper floor, were reinforced using solid construction techniques. All wooden door lintels were replaced with concrete lintels, and all windows, including the entrance doors, were reinstalled following traditional construction methods. The overall renovation was designed by an architect from Domicil Möbel as part of the project “Stylish Living in a Castle.”
The basement is ideally suited for use as a wine cellar. The entire ground floor features vaulted ceilings and includes plans for a communal kitchen, a dining room, a lounge with a fireplace, a reception area, and two separate restrooms. On the opposite side, there are five spacious rooms, all with vaulted ceilings and provisions for fireplaces.
At the center of the building is a grand staircase leading to the upper floor. The upper level was planned to include three smaller apartments and three large halls. Additionally, there is potential for further development of the attic space. Completion of the renovation was halted due to new investments in a hotel project in Austria.
I am happy to assist with any questions regarding the many potential uses of this property. With a total living space of 1,200 m², it offers nearly unlimited possibilities for customization.
