Located between Triebsees and Grimmen, in the beautiful Trebel Valley, lies the former estate village of Zarrentin. The estate, covering just under 250 hectares, was granted to the deserving Swedish General v. Mevius during the Swedish period in the 17th century. A descendant, Carl Rudolph v. Mevius, is considered the builder of the current mansion. It was constructed on the foundations of a predecessor building at the end of the 18th century and underwent another renovation around 1900.

In the 19th century, the estate changed hands several times until it was subdivided in the early 1930s under the Reich Settlement Law. The farmstead with the manor house passed to the Meyer family in 1935. After the war, the house was primarily used as accommodation for the many refugees and unfortunately neglected. The first renovation began after reunification. However, it was not until 2013, with the transfer of ownership to the current owners, that the house was sensitively restored to its former glory and converted into a small hotel.

The result is a dreamy boutique country hotel in the historic manor house, set on a large plot with outbuildings. It accommodates 11 guest rooms and 2 holiday apartments, as well as a 120-square-meter private residence.

On the ground floor, alongside a stucco-decorated entrance hall, a banquet hall, and a fireplace room, there is a professional large kitchen. Further spacious rooms with high ceilings provide ample space for guests and offices. The total living space is approximately 1000 square meters.

The mansion was built in the typical baroque estate architecture of the second half of the 18th century, as a single-storey plastered building with a large mansard roof. A two-storey extension was added to the east side around 1900. The house sits on a high fieldstone pedestal. The ground floor is made of solid brick, while the upper floor is timber-framed. A staircase leads from a small terrace to the entrance door in front of the central projection. Doric columns adorn the outer corners of the house. Beneath the extension lies an intriguing groin vault from a much older predecessor building. The vast mansard roof is illuminated by dormer windows and can be converted into two stories due to its size.

Directly south of the house is the classic green, a large lawn roundel with a fountain. The park side of the house offers an unobstructed view of nature and the park with some very beautiful solitary trees. The paddocks adjoin the east side. A large stable and barn are available for horsekeeping. The mansion itself sits on a 5-hectare plot, surrounded by a pond, meadows, and pastures. A long avenue leads to the house.

Horsekeeping is carried out in the historic outbuilding. The large stable barn, along with the expandable mansard roof of the mansion, provides significant expansion potential. All utilities were renewed in 2013. There are two oil heaters (85 + 55 kW) and a biological sewage treatment plant.

The hotel operation is well-established and offers the opportunity to take over as a full-time business.

The sale is exclusively due to retirement.
