Haus Beckebans – Listed Historic Property in Billerbeck, Münsterland
First documented in 1409, Haus Beckebans is considered the most significant secular building in Billerbeck and is a protected historic monument. The property represents a transitional type between an urban noble residence and an affluent bourgeois townhouse. The brick façade in Specklage (alternating brickwork) and the stepped gable with shell ornaments date back to 1560.
The house offers 12 rooms and 4 bathrooms. Original ceiling beams are preserved in the central hall and several rooms, complemented by solid wood flooring and original stone flooring in the hall. A vaulted cellar is included. The attic provides potential for further development. There are two entrances: a main entrance from the pedestrian zone and a second access from the inner courtyard. A parking space is located in front of the courtyard.
