A typical 18th century manor south of Warsaw
Immediately to the east of the fashionable small town of Konstancin-Jeziorna, where Poland's prominent and financial elite reside, is a fine example of a typical 18th-century manor in what was then Poland-Lithuania. The design of the manor house in Obory in powiat piaseczyński, completed for landowner Jan Wielopolski in 1688, is attributed - without clear evidence - to Tylman van Gameren. It is a simple one-story Baroque building with a flat central risalite, triangular gable and extended mansard roof. The windows are decorated with decorative sandstone frames. In the 18th century the Potulicki family became the owners. They had the manor house slightly rebuilt and a small chapel annex was built on the south side. The preserved fireplaces and ornamented door frames were faithfully restored. A representative driveway leads to the manor house.Other preserved objects on the estate:

Currently (2022) the property can no longer be visited. After being used for many years as a "creative center" of the Polish Writers' Union, it recently passed into the ownership of a foundation, who wants to make the small manor open to the public again (2020).
