Leopold Kindermann Mansion

Wólczańska 33, Łódź

Art Nouveau Villa in Łódź

The villa of factory owner Leopold Kindermann (1868 - 1917) at ul. Wólczańska 31/33 ranks among the finest examples of Art Nouveau architecture in the Polish city of Łódź. The architect of the residential building, built around 1903, was Gustaw Landau-Gutenteger, builder of numerous representative buildings in the Polish industrial metropolis. The architecturally valuable interiors have been open to the public since the 1970s; the building houses the Municipal Art Gallery.
