From ancient peoples to modern-day personalities - the characteristic hilly landscape of Tuscany has been a source of inspiration for centuries. With its historical significance, its cultural richness, the culinary diversity and the unique mentality of the people, it is a globally popular travel destination and attracts millions of tourists to the region every year.

Despite the tense economy in Italy, Tuscany is one of the wealthiest parts of the country. The long-lasting motor of tourism is agriculture, which is predominantly shaped by wine and olive cultivation: who is not looking forward to a good meal at the local Italian, which is accompanied by high-quality olive oil and a good Chianti?

But what would the picturesque landscape of Tuscany be without its beautiful farmhouses and countryhouses, which are often gently embedded in the hills at great distances and are motivators for many portraits? If you want to move your center of life completely or partially to Tuscany, you benefit from a large range of properties for a wide range of needs.

Rustico in need of renovation in typical Tuscan construction, untouched nature and a secluded location are just as often offered as stately properties with plenty of space for family, leisure, work and opportunities to continue or start a commercial or tourist business. Especially isolated objects are usually connected to the public electricity and water supply. Those looking for proximity to the coast will find luxuriously renovated villas in Livorno with a view of the Tyrrhenian Sea.

Private Tuscany Dream Homes: Pool und Leisure facilities often included

In Tuscany, hard work is a virtue. Anyone who runs a winery has to work a lot physically. Therefore, leisure and recreation are an important part of the Tuscan lifestyle and living culture: Many houses are equipped with an outdoor pool, often privately constructed leisure facilities are also available.

On the other hand, if you want to experience cuisine, art, culture, conviviality and lifestyle close to life, you will inevitably come across well-known cities such as Pisa, Siena and of course Florence: the cradle of the Renaissance and UNESCO City is known as one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Foreigners who live and work in Florence come largely from the tourism industry. A downside: extreme summers with temperatures above 40 degrees are not uncommon. Because of its drinking temperature, a good red wine does not really help.

Although the real estate prices in Florence are of course at "world city level", the costs - measured by the respective average salary - are still lower than the prices that are called for comparable living space in a German metropolis.
